Most water coolers give you one temperature and a jug to lift. The Aqualume Glacier gives you hot, cold and ambient water from the same machine, plus ice, and nobody carries anything. How the Aqualume Glacier Filters Your Water, in Seven Stages

Every Aqualume Glacier runs the same seven stages. Sediment comes first, then pre-carbon for chlorine and chemicals. The RO/UF membrane takes out metals and dissolved solids. A pH balance stage comes next. Then comes sanitization, which the product page lists as the stage for bacteria and pathogens, followed by a nutrient boost that adds calcium, potassium and magnesium and, last, a taste and odor polish. Aqualume does not quote a removal percentage for the membrane, because we have not published a tested figure, and we would rather say that than borrow a number from another system.

Glacier Ice: 44 lbs a Day and a 13.2 lb Bin

The Aqualume Glacier makes up to 44 lbs of ice a day and holds 13.2 lbs in its bin. That suits a team that wants ice through the afternoon, and it does not suit a kitchen serving a few hundred cups. For high ice demand, the Avalanche is an ice-only machine that makes 380 lbs a day with a 30 lb bin, and it can sit beside a water machine. If touchless dispensing is a requirement, look at the Lightstream, a countertop hot and cold unit, because we do not describe the Glacier that way, and we would rather you chose the right machine than the closest one.

Do You Actually Need a Touchless Dispenser?

A 2023 paper by M Paolanti describes a touchless dispenser that uses computer vision to control the pour, and argues that avoiding contact and single-use cups helps both hygiene and waste. It is a research prototype, not the Aqualume Glacier, and it says nothing about Aqualume machines. We cite it only for the general point that fewer shared surfaces and fewer disposable cups tend to go together. Whether your office needs touchless dispensing is your call. Plastic and Cost: What the Aqualume Glacier Changes

The plastic part is simple: no jugs, so no empties. The cost part depends on what you pay now. Other hydration solutions, like case delivery, can cost less for a small team. Jug delivery brings a per-delivery price and a storage corner, while an Aqualume Glacier is a monthly rental that covers the machine, installation, scheduled service and repairs. If your office buys a few cases a week, delivery may well cost less, whatever the Aqualume Glacier does for the break room, and a rental will not pay for itself. Who the Aqualume Glacier Dispenser Suits, and Who It Does Not

Pick the Aqualume Glacier water dispenser when a floor of people shares one break room and wants hot, cold and ambient water plus ice from a single machine. It is freestanding, so it needs a spot on a high-traffic floor near a cold water line. Skip it if a countertop is all you can spare: the Lightstream and the Jetstream sit on a counter. And if ice is the main job, an Avalanche does far more of it. The other models in the range cover the cases in between, and Aqualume will say honestly if one of them fits better.

Offices With High Traffic: Break Rooms and Reception Areas

Our technicians install the Aqualume Glacier as part of the rental, with no installation fee. They connect it to your existing cold water line and test it before they hand it over. Planning matters more than the install itself: pick a floor spot near the line, and leave room around a machine that is 16.9 inches wide and 19.4 inches deep. Once the spot is chosen, the rest is on our side.

Aqualume Support After the Glacier Is Installed

Support runs Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. We service every unit we install, and service calls and repairs are part of the monthly rental.
